I have been within the technical industry for the past 13 years doing technical support for different firms in the greater Boston area and have found that most people do not have a good solution for fixing their home computers. You can always bring it to one of those places that will charge you an arm and a leg only to be bringing it back to them in a month or upgrading. 8 years technical support in various environments ranging from 2 Biotech companies, an Investment firm and the computer labs at Northeastern University in Boston, while I was enrolled. I have my MBA through the University of Phoenix and I am certified through BrainBench for Microsoft Windows NT and 2000 and I have taken several professional training programs and certifications for various technologies including Microsoft Windows 2000, Apple OS X, Apache Web server, Microsoft IIS, and FileMaker Pro. I currently work as a systems analyst/project manager north of Boston when I am not helping you.
